If you only pick one sunset spot in Tulum, make it Laguna Kaan Luum. It's a turquoise circular lagoon about 8 km south of town with a long wooden dock that points directly into the western sky. The water mirrors the sunset, the dock empties out as the sun drops, and the whole thing feels more like a private viewing platform than a public attraction.

How to ride there

The view is unexpectedly cinematic — flat green treetops to the horizon, with the sun dropping into the jungle rather than the sea.

How to ride there

Aldea Zama is a 5–7 minute ride from Tulum Pueblo or La Veleta. The streets are paved, well-lit, and quiet. There's free street parking everywhere — just chain to a post or sign.
