Can you tell me a bit more about the scooters?
All scooters come with:
• Two helmets(it’s illegal to drive without a helmet)
• Full tank of gas(must be returned full)• 2020 model or newer
• Majority of our scooters are 150cc
• We have all different colors & types of scooters to suit all different needs
What happens if I need to extend my rental period?
If you need to extend your rental period, please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request, depending on vehicle availability. Any changes in the rental period may result in adjustments to the rental rate. It's essential to inform us in advance to avoid any inconvenience or late return fees.

How can I pay for my scooter?

Do I need to leave my passport or a deposit?
You do not need to leave your passport with us to rent, but you can if you prefer not to leave cash.
We ask for a USD 250 deposit which is fully refundable when you return the scooter.
What is the price to rent a scooter?
The cost of renting a scooter in Tulum is anywhere from USD 15 USD to 45 (300 pesos to 775 pesos) , depending on how many days you rent a scooter.
The season will also make a difference in the price quote.

Can we just show up to pick up a scooter without reserving first?
No, please reserve a scooter first. Please do not just show up to the location.
Do scooters have insurance?
The majority of our scooters have the best insurance available.
Scooters can be dangerous, so having the best protection is important.
You will receive the following:
– Material Damage: It covers the loss or material damage suffered by the Italika as a result of an accident, and exceeds 65% of the value of the motorcycle. 10% deductible.
– Accidental Death: It covers the death of the driver as a result of a vehicle accident with the scooter. Coverage is 50,000 MXN
– Civil Liability: It covers damages that may be caused to third parties or their property (house, vehicle, business, etc.) or person (bodily injuries or death). Coverage is for 400,000 MXN
– Reimbursement of medical expenses to occupants: Reimbursement of expenses incurred by the insured and the occupants (hospital, medicines, nurses, ambulance, etc.) as a result of a vehicular accident. Reimbursement of 20,000 MXN
– Roadside Assistance: This includes power passage, shipment of gasoline, shipment of crane, reference to authorized workshops, urgent communication service, and legal guidance by telephone for assault or theft.
– Legal & Bail Assistance: It covers the payment of lawyers’ fees, expenses inherent in a criminal process, administrative fines, and bail premiums to obtain the provisional release of the driver and the release of the scooter.
– Organic Losses: It covers the loss of limbs (hands, feet, thumb, index finger, or sight) as a result of a vehicular accident.
- GPS Tracker: This prevents theft and gives you the peace of mind that you won’t be liable for a scooter if it gets stolen.
What if my scooter gets stolen?
In the unfortunate event of scooter theft, our GPS system allows us to track it, reducing your risk and saving you from the need to replace your scooter.
